DISASTER MINISTRY
\nUNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST IN FLORIDA<\/p>\n
In the last five years, shootings and other human caused events have
\nbeen escalating in the United States. Incidents such as “random”
\nshooting incidents raise many questions particularly for pastors who
\nface the Sunday morning sermon; and, phone calls from members of their
\ncongregation asking “why did this happen” and what should we do to
\nhelp people affected.<\/p>\n
You are invited to participate in a one-day skills-building workshop
\nthat will provide practical tools and strategies for clergy to help
\ntheir congregations deal with the presenting crisis, and identify
\nPTSD, anger and other issues that may arise following a human-caused
\ndisaster. Faith and scriptural perspectives will also be included.<\/p>\n
